Ties (or necktie) give the kind of personal touch of a man. You can compare to add sugar to a tea or coffee, where it makes the tea or coffee something special. Wearing ties with a suit makes you more confident look. Obviously, it’s always important to choose the right color to choose, so it matches the suit and the overall look & feel!
What is a tie (necktie)?
A necktie, or simply a tie, is a long piece of cloth, worn, usually by men, for decorative purposes around the neck, resting under the shirt collar and knotted at the throat.
Variants include the ascot tie, bow tie, bolo tie, zipper tie, cravat, Knit Tie and clip-on tie. The modern necktie, ascot, and bow tie are descended from the cravat. Neckties are generally unsized, but may be available in a longer size. In some cultures men and boys wear neckties as part of regular office attire or formal wear. Some women wear them as well but usually not as often as men. Neckties can also be worn as part of a uniform (e.g. military, school, waitstaff), whereas some choose to wear them as everyday clothing attire. Neckties are traditionally worn with the top shirt button fastened, and the tie knot resting between the collar points.
What are the fabrics of ties?
- “Season less” Fabrics – as general fabric for ties we use silk fabrics. This gives also the best of quality of ties
- Cheap Synthetics & Silk Imitations – There are synthetics around, but we do not advise to use those, as the quality, such as the look and feel is a big different from the silk fabrics
- Summer Tie Fabrics – are most linen and cotton. These ties often come in light pastel colors and show typical summer patterns
- Winter Fabrics – wool and other “warmer” weaves are common fabrics for ties in winter times
